Located in the Baux de Provence, close to the Luberon, Domaine de Manville was once devoted to agriculture, with sheep herding and traditional outbuildings defining its existence. And today still, Manville’s heart beats to the drum of daily country life, attentive to the ripening tomatoes, the grape harvest and the olive gathering, working and harvesting through the seasons. The architectural conversion of this estate was accomplished by Mireille Pellen, heritage architect, in collaboration with landscapists from PEP’s (for outdoor settings) and Annie Zeau (for interior decorating), thus permitting the restoration and extension of the buildings into 5-star luxury accommodations in a remarkable site overflowing with history in the very heart of Provence.
Next to a beautiful pine grove, like a “tree hut,” the villas are very private, welcoming and fresh during the summer time. Arrive at home and find your newspapers on the table, the market basket in the kitchen, and the beds freshly made. The Deluxe Villa is 2,300 square feet, exposed to the north or northeast, has a large terrace and deck with outdoor furniture, and has three en-suite bedrooms (two bedrooms have a bathtub, shower and WC; the third bedroom has a shower and WC). It also has Inverter air conditioning units, a large living room and dining area, fireplace, and fully-equipped kitchen. Extra beds and cribs are also available.
